What to Expect

What to Expect from the Experts

When you contact Stanley Steemer, one of our certified restoration specialists will contact you within 15 minutes of your call. This is one instance where every minute matters. We also understand that water damage restoration is no easy task, and it’s certainly not something you should try on your own. Stanley Steemer professionals take the following flood restoration steps to help you reclaim your home.
  • Advise you what to do to minimize the damage until our crew arrives.
  • Dispatch certified, trained and experienced water damage restoration crews to your home within three hours or less.
  • Pump out freestanding water quickly, and then extract water from the carpet, padding and upholstery.
  • Remove carpet and padding, if necessary.
  • Provide professional-grade equipment that controls the drying process—both for your home and your belongings. This minimizes the possibility of secondary damage and potential microbial growth that can occur before the water damage restoration is complete.
  • Use specialized instruments to locate hidden pockets of water and to technically monitor the dehumidification/drying process—a much-needed component of proper water damage restoration.
  • Work directly with your insurance company to process claims and return your home to normal as quickly as possible. It’s a good idea to review your insurance policy with your agent to determine if you have proper flood restoration coverage—before an emergency takes place. This is especially important for sump pump failures, which require an inexpensive insurance rider.
  • Ensure that your home’s structure and contents are dry, based on recommended industry standards for your area of the country.

Remember that water damage restoration is a job for the experts. Non-commercial-grade drying equipment (like shop vacs) can’t extract water from your carpet and padding. So it doesn’t take long for the problem to morph into secondary damage in your home—damage that is more costly to repair.

Don’t overlook the importance of working with a company that has Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). This ensures that the technicians working in your home have attended IICRC-accredited continuing education and training programs. At Stanley Steemer, we invest a significant amount of time and money to ensure that our equipment and our technicians perform at the highest possible standards.

Customer Testimonials
Dear Stanley Steemer,
I just wanted to let you know that Scott was on his hands and knees scrubbing to get all the spots up. I was deeply touched and it meant a lot to me. My husband passed away this week, so I was deeply stressed, and worried about the carpets. Not only did Scott take the extra time and care to attend to my concerns, but he was very compassionate towards me. I want you to know that his going the extra mile has helped to make this difficult time easier on me, as I can now make sure my husband's funeral has a nice presentation.
