Questions

What is it going to cost to have my property restored?
Our pricing is based on the standard Xactimate pricing. Xactimate is a common industry program that allows us to put together accurate estimates quickly and effectively. Since there are many variables with each water restoration job, such as how much water, what category water, how many rooms, etc., we cannot price jobs before performing a site inspection.
Can we restore the damage ourselves?
It is not recommended to handle water damages in house for several reasons. Non-commercial grade drying equipment (like shop vacs) will probably not extract water from both the carpet and the padding. Over a short period of time, this will lead to secondary damages, which are more costly to remediate.
Is the damage covered by our insurance?
Review your company’s policy with your agent to determine if you have proper coverage for the damage. It would be a good idea to review coverage ahead of time to make sure your business is covered for all situations, such as fire suppression systems, which require an inexpensive insurance rider.
Do I have a choice of contractors to use for restoring my property?
Yes. The customer always has the full authority to use whichever restoration company they feel is qualified. It doesn’t cost the insured any more or less to call their own company in. The important factor is to make sure the damage is handled correctly the first time.
Why should I choose an IICRC-certified restoration company?

The importance of having Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) cannot be understated—it assures you of trained, experienced technicians on every job. IICRC-certified firms should not use non-certified employees to handle your restoration job at the risk of improperly mitigating the damages.

In addition to being certified by the industry’s most widely recognized and accepted certification program, all our technicians attend IICRC-accredited continuing education and training programs several times a year. Stanley Steemer operations invest a significant amount of time and money in training and equipment to ensure we perform the highest standards of work.
