Choosing a qualified contractor

Don’t trust the quality of your air to just any contractor. Be
sure the contractor you choose can provide the following.

Certification as a member of NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association).
Evidence of current Workers’ Compensation and General Liability Insurance coverage.
The proper licenses required by your city or state to perform the work they are proposing. (Not all cities or states require licenses.)
Three to five customer references (preferably recent) for projects of similar size and scope of work to yours.
Written safety, respiratory, and confined space programs in addition to OSHA compliance reports.
A means to conduct a visual inspection at any time during the cleaning.
Trained and certified employees to complete the work—not subcontractors.
An Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) who will oversee your entire job.
